From Maija
Nobody hands you a map for this part of life. So we made one.
Sisu Season is written by Maija, a Finnish woman living in the American South who went looking for one clear, honest place to understand the menopause transition and couldn't find it.
So we built it: the research translated into plain English, a tool to track what's really going on, and a playbook for getting taken seriously. No miracle cures, no shame, no selling you supplements.
Questions
Is this medical advice?
No. Sisu Season is education and peer experience. We explain what the research says and help you prepare for your own clinician, who knows your history. We never diagnose, recommend doses, or tell you to start or stop a medication.
Who is Maija?
Maija is the pen name of our founder, a Finnish woman living in the American South who has been through the menopause transition herself. She keeps her face and full name private so she can write honestly. She is not a doctor, and says so.
Is the Symptom Snapshot private?
Yes. Your answers are stored only in your own browser. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Only your email address, if you choose to join our list, goes to our email provider.
When do I get the Guide?
The founding edition is delivered by email by November 16, 2026. It is being finished and fact-checked now; founding readers get it at the lowest price it will ever be, plus every future update free.
What if the Guide isn't for me?
Email hello@sisuseason.com within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. No forms, no hoops.
What does sisu mean?
Sisu is a Finnish word for quiet, stubborn strength when things get hard. Not toughing it out alone. The kind of strength that knows when to ask for help.
Honest notes on midlife, every Tuesday.
